Traditionally, red wines have always been an acquired taste by older generations — its bitterness and tannin puts off younger audiences from a vibrant world of tasting experiences deeply entwined with cuisine and culture.

Sol Sombra
brings together a contemporary range of lighter, fruit-forward red wine blends, enticing younger demographics to indulge in the ritual oriented experience.

Born in McLaren Vale, Sol Sombra draws inspiration from the region’s coastal landscape
Long afternoons of warm sun, cooling sea breezes, and the shifting contrast of light and shadow across the vines. Founded by Spanish migrant, Matias Mora, the name translates to “sun and shadow”, reflecting the natural rhythm that shapes both the wine and the experience around it.  It speaks to those who inherit this warmth today: a new generation gathering with friends, discovering red wine for the first time, and raising a glass under the same sun that nurtured the vines – for the heirs of the sun.
